Hi! I’m Luigi Marco Simonetti, student in Computer Science, blogger, developer, web developer and, recently, I’m keen of web design.

My name is Luigi Marco Simonetti, I’m 23 years old and I live in San Gennaro Vesuviano, near warm and marvellous Naples.
The beauty and allure of this wonderful city bind me deeply to my world, and I share with it all its passions, especially a crazy and visceral support for Napoli, my bosom football team. I love many things of my world, the sun, the sea, the colours and the flavours. For these ant many other reason, I’m proudly Neapolitan, before to be Italian.
At the age of 8 I have met the Science for the first time, in particular the stars. My passion for Astronomy still continue, but few years after I have understood that it couldn’t to be my way in life.
At the age of 13, I had my first computer and I begun to hang out the meanders of computer programming. My family believed in me and did an important investment on that unbelievable object… that day I understood that Computer Since could be my way in life.
In 2004, after that I have completed classical studies, I’m enrolled on Degree Course in Computer Science at Faculty of MM. FF. NN. Science at University of Salerno. Meanwhile, I give my free time over interesting studies on web development and web design. Until this day, at few months from degree.
I feel to be an humble person, convinced of my ideas and determined to pursue them. I have always studied with great humbleness and with a bit of healthy curiosity. At the same time, during my universitary studies, I have learned to keep relationships with other people and to be confronted with them and with their ideas. I have learned to understand the importance of team work and to respect my mates, to take their advices and to fight together for team’s goals.
Today I can say that I improve myself in the last years, but it isn’t never the moment to turn back to see one’s results, it’s necessary to improve itself, it’s the goal of our life.
I like to develop from the scratch with a simple text editor, but i don’t refuse excellent development environment, especially when the develop is more elaborate. I prefer to write the code and subsequently verify the result, for this reason, in particular in web development, I don’t really like the visual IDEs… I love the contact with the code, the perfume of keywords and instructions. The agile programming il my creed, don’t repeat yourself and convention over configuration are my commandments, design patterns my lifestyle. I’m very dedicate in my work, a perfectionist but concrete when is necessary, I believe to learn very fast the innovations that fascinate me.
Sincerely I don’t know what I will do in future, I wait to end my studies, I like to work with databases and web applications, in relation with informative system on the net. Neural nets fascinate me even if, at this moment, my knowledge about this are
Actually my interests are about databases and web application for informative systems on the net. I’m also interested in semantic Web, development framework and other areas of Computer Science.
This site was created with Wordpress. The “woodly” theme was developed from the scratch with valid XHTML and CSS, and writed with gedit. The scrolling and apparence effects are made by my plugin developed for MooTools 1.2. Icons, images and titles are designed with GIMP, the background texture was downloaded from CGTextures and edited with GIMP. This site is better appreciable with awesome free fonts Fontin e Fontin Sans.
The timed styleswitcher is inspired on styleswitcher of Marius Roosendaal. I have edit user interface and I added a combobox, while business logic is managed by a plugin developed with mootools 1.2.
Finally I used some plugins for Wordpress: Polyglot to make this site multilingual, Lifestream for lifestream page, Contact Form 7 for contact page.
New theme added, daylight, and new timed styleswitcher to manage themes.
Added lifestream page with updates of my status on Facebook, my shared elements from Google Reader, my posts on my personal blog Slivers of my soul, and of my bookmarks on Delicious.
My personal site is online! I have fixed problems between mootools 1.2 and IE7, and the problem of titles in png and gif format.
